50^th anniversary of the Swiss Science Council

The Federal Council established the Swiss Science Council on 26 March 1965. The Swiss Science Council SSC, as it is known today, has therefore been in existence for 50 years.

On 5 and 6 October, the SSC celebrated its anniversary with the following events:

• Seminar with Swiss key players in education, research and innovation policy
• Official ceremony with Federal Councillor Schneider-Ammann
• Annual assembly of European science councils in Bern
• Media conference
