Dr. Bryn Roberts

Bryn Roberts earned a BSc and a PhD in pharmacology from the University of Bristol (UK). After postdoctoral research in neuropharmacology, he joined Organon as a senior scientist in 1996. He then held various positions at Zeneca and AstraZeneca before moving to Roche in Basel in 2006, where he headed research informatics and data science. In his current role as Global Head of Data, Analytics & Research at Roche Information Solutions, Bryn is responsible for data strategy and governance, data engineering, data science, AI, and research & early development for digital health solutions. 

In addition to his work at Roche, Bryn is a visiting professor at the University of Bristol and a visiting fellow at the University of Oxford. His areas of interest include digital health, AI and machine learning, systems biology, and scientific software engineering. He is a member of several advisory boards, including the University of Oxford Dept of Statistics and SABS:R3 Centre for Doctoral Training, the Kellogg College Commission on Sustainability Data, the University of Edinburgh School of Informatics and AI4BI Centre for Doctoral Training, RoX Health, and Z-Inspection. 

Bryn Roberts is also a non-executive board member of ChemAI and has been a member of the Swiss Science Council since 2024.
