Prof. Dr. Jane Royston
Jane Royston currently serves on the boards of several high-tech companies and charitable foundations, and is an individual member of the Swiss National Academy of Engineering.
After graduating from the London School of Economics in Pure Mathematics, Jane joined the IT department of DuPont de Nemours in Geneva. Four years later she became head of IT for DuPont France, and, after two years in Paris, left to create NatSoft, a software engineering company.
After selling her company, Jane Royston was nominated to the Branco Weiss chair of entrepreneurship and innovation, becoming the first professor of entrepreneurship and innovation in Switzerland, and holding the first named chair at the EPFL. Jane Royston was subsequently asked by all the major universities in Switzerland, including the ETHZ and the University of St. Gallen, to implement and teach an entrepreneurship programme in their doctoral and undergraduate programmes.
Jane Royston has been a member of the Swiss Science Council since 2016.
